You ride a cable car for about 20 minutes up to Melchsee-Frutt. The high plateau has mountain restaurants and hotels. You can enjoy beautiful hikes here in summer and winter.
Melchsee is about 54 hectares big and lies at an elevation of 1891 m above sea level. It’s a popular destination for anglers and hikers, offering a picturesque setting in the midst of the surrounding mountain landscape.
The Fruttli Path is a learning and adventure trail with ten stations along the way. Fruttli, the marmot, is the star here. Around the lake, there are several fire pits with wood supplies and seating areas.
The Frutt Train is a small tourist train that takes you across the plateau in summer if you’re not as good on foot.
In winter, the ski area offers 36 km of slopes for skiing and snowboarding. 15 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is at an elevation of 1080 to 2255 m above sea level.
