Description

Your snowboard instructor builds on your skills. Depending on your level, he practices different abilities and techniques with you. Beginners learn to maintain their balance. After that, your instructor practices gliding with you to achieve initial success on flat terrain.

Once the basics are in place, the first turns and safe speed control on easy blue slopes follow. With increasing experience, the technique becomes more precise, allowing red slopes to be mastered and ridden cleanly.

Level

This course is aimed at snowboarders of all levels:

**Level 1: Complete Beginner:** No prior knowledge required – everyone starts somewhere. With patience and the right guidance, you will learn the basics of snowboarding.

**Level 2: Advanced Beginner (1):** You can handle the magic carpet and the drag lift and can somewhat control your speed and direction on practice slopes.

**Level 3: Advanced Beginner (2):** Familiar with all lifts on practice and easy slopes, you can confidently make turns and adjust your speed in any situation.

**Level 4: Intermediate:** Blue slopes are no problem for you. You turn smoothly and are confident as a snowboarder on heel and toe edges.

**Level 5: Advanced Intermediate:** You feel comfortable on red slopes under good conditions. Challenges like ice, moguls, or deep snow are an exciting next step for you.

**Level 6: Advanced:** You confidently master red slopes regardless of the conditions and handle most black runs. You want to further develop your technique in carving, off-piste, or in moguls.

**Level 7: Expert:** You tackle black slopes and challenging routes with ease. You are working on your speed and technique in carving, in moguls, or in deep snow, and refining jumps and tricks in the freestyle park.

Possible meeting points

You can individually arrange the meeting point with the provider after booking. Here are some suggestions for possible meeting points:

Andermatt Train Station: At the train station near the sports shop on platform 0. Ski equipment can also be purchased/rented here. You can buy ski tickets at the cash register or at the ticket machines right next to the sports shop.
Gütsch-Express Cable Car: At the entrance to the “Gütsch-Express” cable car. Ski tickets are available at the nearby station at the cash register or at the machine.
Gemsstock Valley Cable Car: Skishop Imholz for ski equipment, where lift tickets can also be purchased at the cash register. For advanced skiers only, skiing in parallel and leisurely skiing on black slopes.
Mittelstation Nätschen: Nätschen or the middle station of the “Gütsch-Express” cable car. The meeting point is at the entrance to the children’s area. This is where every beginner lesson starts.
Gütsch Mountain Station: After leaving the cable car, near the Japanese restaurant, next to the ski lift.
Gemsstock Middle Station: The meeting point is around the ski racks at the lift access to the mountain station. For advanced skiers only, skiing in parallel and leisurely skiing on black slopes.
