The Summer Climbing School for families offers a two-day program. It's specifically designed to introduce children, teenagers, and families to the world of climbing.
Over two consecutive afternoons, participants will learn the basic climbing techniques and safety aspects.
Day one program:
- Gear knowledge
- Adjusting climbing equipment
- Short hike to the climbing rock
- Learning essential knots and belaying techniques
- First climbing exercises with professional guidance
- Climbing top-rope routes
Day two program:
- Improving climbing techniques
- Introduction to lead climbing
- Independent climbing and belaying
Top-rope routes are climbing routes where the rope is already secured at a fixed point (anchor or redirect) at the top. The climber is secured from the start, as the rope comes from above and is controlled by a belayer.
