Description

Make your dream come true and climb a 4000m peak together with a guide. On this tour you can enjoy the beautiful alpine environment as a professional or as a beginner and experience the magnificent feeling of standing on a 4000m peak.
The Breithorn has 5 peaks: Breithorn Occidentale (4164 m.a.s.l.), Breithorn Centrale (4159 m.a.s.l.), Breithorn Zwillinge and Schwarzfluh (4075 m.a.s.l.). This ridge runs from west to east. Breithorn Occidentale is the highest peak and also the easiest to climb.
You will meet your mountain guide and other participants at the Matterhorn Express valley station. In summer you will start at 07:30 and in winter at 08:15. Before you join the tour, it is important that you have the appropriate equipment. You can either bring your own or rent it on site in Zermatt. Please note that in winter you need ski touring equipment.
On the Breithorn normal route your guide will lead you over hill and dale. You will cross the Breithorn pass and the Breithorn plateau, both of which are located at over 3000 meters above sea level. Here you will also find the highest ski slope in Europe. In winter, a beautiful descent over the Schwarztor awaits you. After about 3 - 4 hours the tour ends and in summer you go back to Zermatt together by cable car. In winter the descent is done by ski.
