Snow-covered peaks, mountain tranquility, the feeling of true connection with nature: that's what Betelberg at Lenk promises. You take the gondola for about 20 minutes up to the Leiterli mountain station on Betelberg. From there, you reach the highest point of Betelberg within a few minutes. From this vantage point, you enjoy an impressive 360° panoramic view over the snow-covered Bernese Alps.
The circular trail gently descends towards Steinstoss. In winter, this is where the loop turns around. You head left and hike through the Agematte area along the southern slope of Leiterli. Here, you can peacefully enjoy the vast winter landscape. The area lies away from cross-country trails, ski, and sledding slopes. From Agematte, you return to the mountain station in a short time.
As a reward for your hike, a visit to the wonderful sunny terrace of the Leiterli mountain restaurant at the mountain station is recommended. Those wanting to continue hiking can take the winter trail down to the Stoss middle station (another 50 minutes).
