This canyon hike at Grimsel offers you a variety of action-packed obstacles. You can overcome all of them optionally and according to your preference. The only exception is the spectacular abseiling from 50 meters at the start of the tour, which cannot be bypassed. The gorge at Grimsel impresses not only with its diversity but especially with its wild landscape and rock formations.
You will be picked up at a pre-arranged location and driven to the base in Matten near Interlaken. There, you and the guide will prepare all the necessary gear for your adventure together. Afterwards, you'll head to the Grimsel Pass, about an hour's drive away.
Before entering the canyon, your guide will give you a detailed safety briefing and explain the rules as well as the key techniques.
The trip through the canyon begins with a true highlight: at the start, you will rappel down 50 meters into the canyon. Then, over the next 2 to 2.5 hours, you'll continue across natural water slides, past waterfalls, through crystal-clear pools, and jumps into deep basins.
At the end of your adventure, you'll be served a drink and a small snack before the car journey back.
