At 2,727m, Pizzo di Claro, is the southernmost mountain of the Adula Alps renowned for its spectacular views. The western side of the peak towers 2,400m above the village of Claro on the border between the cantons of Ticino and Graubünden.
The Pizzo di Claro cable car takes you to Monti di Saurù. On arriving at the top, there are numerous hiking routes of varying difficulty just waiting to be discovered. Alongside hiking, this area also lends itself to other activities such as mountain biking, Nordic walking and paragliding.
More information Brogoldone Hut The Brogoldone Hut, which boasts a panorama terrace, is located not far from Pizzo di Claro and is the starting point for many hikes. Those who visit the area at night will be richly rewarded – the views of the town of Bellinzona are breathtaking after dark.
