An alternative way to get there would be from Morschach via the Morschach-Stoos cable car. After having arrived in Stoos, you can take the chairlift to the starting points for various hikes. No matter whether it’s the famous Klingenstock–Fronalpstock ridge hike or a more leisurely stroll to the Stoossee lake: the Stoos is a place that will get you to reflect on the beauty of Swiss nature.

Klingenstock–Fronalpstock ridge hike

The Klingenstock–Fronalpstock ridge hike is one of the most spectacular panoramic hikes in Switzerland. The Klingenstock is your starting point, and you can get there from Stoos by chairlift. If you hike in a westerly direction via Rot Turm to Nollen, you will need to be sure-footed and not afraid of heights. The path is narrow, and certain sections have chains for safety. Your constant companion: fantastic 360-degree panoramic views. Once at your destination, the viewing platform, you will find your gaze wandering over Lake Lucerne to the Grosser and Kleiner Mythen mountains as well as Rigi and Pilatus.

Car-free Stoos is a recreation area in both summer and winter, with a wide range of outdoor activities for visitors to look forward to. In addition to hikes of various levels of difficulty, you can also go mountain biking or paragliding in the summer.
