Description

On the “Mostindien” tour, accompanied by perfect panoramic views, riders are hot on the heels of the apple – right through Thurgau. “Mostindien” has been the popular name given to Thurgau since the 19th century, on account of its apple cultivation and its shape, which is reminiscent of India.
This three-day tour contains everything a Thurgau fan’s heart desires. From Kreuzlingen, amid pictureseque lower lake landscape, the trail leads through former fishing villages, such as Ermatingen, and through the historical old town of Steckborn. A short ascent to the lake’s ridge opens up magnificent views of the Alpstein chain. Overnight accommodation is possible in the unique atmosphere of the Kartause Ittingen.

The second day is also packed with things to discover, including a diverse cultural offering in Frauenfeld, original Roman theatres in Pfyn, and the sweet little winegrowers’ town of Weinfelden, where you can also stay overnight.

The final stage then leads across the idyllic Bommen landscape back to Kreuzlingen on Lake Constance.
