From Friedrichshafen, birthplace of the Zeppelin, along Eriskircher Ried, where blue sword lilies bloom in spring. A superb landmark is Montfort Castle in Langenargen, built in Moorish style. In Kressbronn, fruit farming is a significant industry, alongside tourism. The route takes you to Nonnenhorn, around the bay to the Wasserburg Peninsula. Hilly terrain leads to Bad Schachen; you reach the harbour basin of Lindau on the flat via the dam.
