Located at the heart of central Switzerland, the pre-Alps high valley of Einsiedeln is shaped by moorland. And on the cross-country trails around Einsiedeln you experience the purest form of enjoyment.

The “Schwedentritt“ has a total six routes in Einsiedeln, Gross and Alpthal. The shorter, between 2 to 12 km long stretches, are ideal for a leisurely hike on skis. And for more challenging activity, 16 to 22 km long cross-country trails are available to you.

The mostly flat 10 km long “Trachslau“ trail leads past the beautiful Au convent over meadows and fields. And for those who prefer more hilly terrain, the 11 km Bolzberg trail is sure to be their choice. This trail also comprises a 4 km long night trail.
