Description

St. Gallen has more bridges than do most other cities in Switzerland. The Bridge Trail leads from the St.Gallen-Haggen Station and over 18 bridges.
This 7.5 kilometre walking trail starts at the train station in St. Gallen-Haggen and goes to Spisegg. The trail runs past eighteen viaducts, wooden and concrete bridges and suspension bridges and through the river landscape in the Sitter- und Wattbachlandschaft nature reserve. An information board at each bridge explains much about the design, year of construction and the construction itself.
