Description

The postal bus station at Chur train station is one of the city’s most striking buildings. The imposing glass dome provides shelter for passengers and buses in all weathers and serves as a starting point for many interesting rides aboard the yellow buses.
Postal bus station. The postal bus station is covered by a glass dome. At night, the structure is illuminated by spotlights, lighting up the centre of Chur. There is also a gently domed glass and steel structure over the platforms of Chur station. In its appearance, the 300 m long span of the unsupported glass roof is reminiscent of railway halls from the 19th century. Architects: Richard Brosi and Robert Obrist.
