Description

The residents of Solothurn love market life and pleasurable shopping strolls.
Every Saturday, market stall holders from across the region offer their specialities in Solothurn’s picturesque Old Town, where you’ll find fresh flowers and farm produce along Hauptgasse and Gurzelngasse. The weekly market has a long-standing tradition. Locals can find everything their hearts desire at the Saturday market. It isn’t just a place for shopping – it’s also a popular meeting place for locals. Enjoying a cup of coffee with a slice of traditional Solothurn cake or chatting with friends – these are common sights at the popular weekly market.
Every Wednesday and Saturday morning from 7:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Please note: The market is not held if Wednesday falls on a public holiday. It is generally brought forward to Friday if Saturday falls on a public holiday.

The market is held in Solothurn’s Old Town, between the Bieltor and St. Ursus Cathedral. More information
