The route runs along Switzerland’s «Gold Coast» beside Lake Zurich from Rapperswil into Zurich itself and is mainly confined to flat tarmac roads. As well as the pretty lakeside promenades, however, it also takes in the slopes of the Pfannenstiel hill.
