Hiking trip to see blacknose sheep

Description

An encounter with the largest flock of blacknose sheep is offered by the Julen family in Zermatt, as part of an Alpine hike. Once you have arrived at your destination, you can also try a selection of regional products.
This unusual hike lets you discover the blacknose breed of sheep in idyllic surroundings. The meeting place for the start of the hike is at the entrance to the Romantik Hotel Julen in Zermatt. You can sign up for the hike until 8 pm on the day before. A cable car takes walkers to the Schwarzsee stop at the summit. After walking for 45 minutes, you can observe 300 sheep in their natural habitat. At the foot of the Matterhorn, walkers can take the time to soak up the breathtaking scenery and listen to Paul-Marc Julen talk about the blacknose sheep. Then, there is regional white wine and dried meat to try.
