The old beech forests in Valle di Lodano in Vallemaggia are an enormous forest reservation set amidst a fascinating landscape with numerous natural elements and testimony of past human activities.

It is not by chance that it was made a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO. You can explore Valle di Lodano and its magnificent landscape via four hiking routes. The first two hikes can be done in one day, while the other two require two days, with the opportunity of an overnight stay at the cabin at Alp da Canaa. Each hike focuses on a particular theme.
