The historic via ferrata

Description

The historical via ferrata originally stems from the year 1907, has been however completely renovated and, today, leads over three practically vertical rock formations. Magical views, elevated adrenaline levels and a few aching muscles are guaranteed…but well worth it!
Levels of difficulty
K 1-2. Less difficult, with steps and 27 ladders a comfortable and secure climb, however very breezy in the bottom-most section.

Directions

In Fidaz a blue sign points out the way to the via ferrata. On an upward path through the woods, you reach the foot of the rock in roughly 30 mins.

Via Ferrata
The historic via ferrata is a fascinating natural experience –and one suitable for children as of 12 years of age. It leads from Fidaz via Pinut up to the Flimserstein, and properly clad, with the necessary respect and adequate security measures, the Pinut via ferrata provides a risk-free adrenaline kick and breath of fresh air. A single highlight is undoubtedly the roughly 20-meter-long natural tunnel, beneath which, there’s a big gap….covered by side-ways laid ladder, but nevertheless a somewhat hair-raising crossing with views of the depths.

Descent

The descent leads over an old alpine path. In Bargis you meet with the ascending Fidaz road, after which the marked hiking path leads off-side the road back to Fidaz in approximately 2 hours.
