Description

The Obersaxon winter sports area above the Vorderrhein Valley includes four beautiful skiing mountains. For the most part, the wide slopes range from easy to intermediate. The Carlo Janka Piste from Stein to Kartitscha is a real treat for ambitious skiers.
Carlo Janka is one of the great stars of Swiss skiing. As the Olympic giant slalom champion, world champion and World Cup winner, he is one of the best ski racers of his generation. His home village of Obersaxen has specially dedicated a ski run to the gifted master. The demanding black-marked Carlo Janka Piste starts at the Stein top station chairlift and leads steeply down to the Kartitscha valley station.
