The Karin Türig round trip is a tour of approximately 10km from Retschwil, with a view of Lake Baldegg, to Nunwil and back. The road is tarmacked, so therefore ideal for racing bikes. From Retschwil, the route takes riders along the lake towards Ermensee and up to the Stäfligen road junction.

On arrival at Vorderzelg, a wonderful view can be enjoyed of Lake Baldegg, Heidegg Castle and the Lindenberg on the opposite side, as well as the fantastic Pre-Alps. From Vorderzelg, the tour’s highest point at 653m above sea level, the route proceeds through the Alp and Eigen lanes.

From Sidenthal, the descent leads to Nunwil over the Sidenberg. In Nunwil, riders turn into the road again and ride back to Retschwil, their point of departure. Tired cyclists can dine in the restaurants here or, in the summer, venture a dip into Lake Baldegg. The lake pool in Baldegg is ideal for this.

The tour is dedicated to Karin Thürig, a bronze medallist at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics and world time trial champion in 2004 and 2005.
