Chasa da Fö – Europe’s highest cookery school

  • Image 1

Description

Discover the delicious cuisine of the Lower Engadin 2,200 metres above sea level at Alp Laret, high above Ftan.
«Chasa da Fö» is Romansh for «House with the fireplace», but this old structure was originally a pig barn, for decades providing shelter for animals and herders up on the alpine pastures.

Today it is home to what is thought to be Europe’s highest cookery school, where a chef from the Hotel Paradies in Ftan shares original recipes from the region with amateur cooks.
