The Blueme Tower was built in 1984 with a height of 16.40 meters. From the top the views of the Jura mountains and the Bernese Alps are magnificent.

The area offers many beautiful hiking paths and biking routes amidst intact and untouched scenery. In the olden times, lookouts were placed at high elevation and visible from afar within the former Bernese territory. The lookouts were used to send important messages by fire and smoke signals as quickly as possible across the entire Bern region. The Blueme viewing tower is situated on one of these elevated spots, where grilling places are also available to the public.
