Description

The old town of Montreux lies on the hillside of the village. It is around 15 minutes' walk from the lakeshore and, with its cobbled streets and winegrowers' houses, is ideal for a discovery tour or starting point for hikes.
And what a view opens up to the visitor here! Almost at every corner, a new panorama of lake, mountains and forests opens up to the observer. Especially from the forecourt of the St-Vincent church.

Small bistros and cafés invite you to linger. The old town is also the starting point for beautiful hikes, including the famous Chauderon Gorge. The hiking trail to the gorge leads along the Baye de Montreux river to Glion or Les Avants.
