Bernese Oberland – Railway

  • Image 1

Description

The Bernese Oberland valley railroad was opened in 1890 and has been been electrified since 1914. It connects Interlaken (Interlaken East) with Grin with Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. Besides serving the resort towns, it also enables access to the world famous Jungfraujoch-Top of Europe.
As a rule two trains coupled together ride up to Zweilütschinen where they are separated. One train travels to Grindelwald, the other one to Lauterbrunnen.

The Bernese Oberland valley train presents itself as a modern shuttle that opens up the tourism centers in the Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau Region.
