Description

Munot has been proudly overlooking the town of Schaffhausen for well over 400 years. The fortification of Munot was built in the 16th century by forced labourers from Schaffhausen and characterises the old town to this day.
Dressed in a wide cloak and a peaked hat like in the olden days, a lantern in one hand and a Hellebarde (old Swiss weapon) in the other, the night watchman will send you back to everyday life in medieval Schaffhausen. Even areas not open to the general public, such as the eastern battlements, the armoury and the historic escape route of the Munot fortification, are just waiting to be discovered.
The night watchman of Schaffhausen is exceptionally skilled at entertaining, combining fascinating facts with grizzly tales to make his audience marvel and laugh.
