Klosters, the Graubünden mountain village, is known for wonderful nature, first-class winter sports regions and many activities for families. Here you can enjoy the mountains while skiing, hiking or biking and go on excursions to neighbouring Davos or the Engadine.
This is Klosters
Klosters is located in the east of Switzerland in the
Prättigau region of the canton of
Graubünden. The mountain village is a popular excursion and holiday destination because of its versatile skiing and hiking areas, family-friendliness and proximity to
Davos.
Discover Klosters
You will immediately feel at home in Klosters. It has remained authentic despite its fame as a holiday resort for royals and Hollywood greats. Your tour takes you past pretty chalets to the village centre with boutiques, cafés, and restaurants. During a walk along the Landquart River, you will look at the imposing Sunniberg Bridge.
Winter sports in Klosters
Around Klosters and neighbouring Davos, there are five different winter sports areas to choose from.
Parsenn on the Weissfluhjoch offers long runs on wide slopes. The Jakobshorn attracts visitors with the
Jatzpark and sun terraces. And on the Rinerhorn you can extend your day with night skiing. Or you can toboggan from
Gotschnaboden directly into the centre of Klosters and relax in one of the many spas.
Family resort Klosters
Family fun already starts in the village: Klosters has a great
playground, a large lido, an artificial ice rink and a fun dwarf path. The highlight is the
Madrisa family and pleasure mountain: Ski lifts, magic carpets,
tobogganing runs and winter hiking trails offer something for everyone in winter. In summer, the Madrisa region provides entertainment and action with a slide, puzzle cave, play barn, and treasure hunt.
Around Klosters
Not far from Klosters is Davos with the excursion resort of
Schatzalp and the
Kirchner Museum. The nearby Flüela Pass takes you to the Lower Engadine and thanks to the Vereina Tunnel, the
Engadin with
St. Moritz is also not far away. More excursion ideas: Hike to the
Jöriseen Lakes, marvel at the
Landwasser Viaduct in Filisur or the
Salginatobel Bridge near Schiers, which rivals the Eiffel Tower in terms of its artful engineering.
