This is the Riederalp

Valais. The car-free mountain village above the Rhone Valley is a popular travel and holiday destination due to its proximity to
the Aletsch Glacier and the
Aletsch Arena.
Discover the Riederalp
When you arrive at Riederalp, you stop in amazement: The view of the Valais four-thousand-metre peaks is simply magnificent. And with 300 days of sunshine a year, the sky is probably blue. On your walk through the village with its typical chalets, you will enjoy the peace and quiet and the cosy atmosphere. In the idyllically located Alpine Museum, you can experience how cheese and butter are still made according to old traditions.
Aletsch Glacier, Moosfluh and Hohfluh
The Moosfluh and Hohfluh viewpoints offer you an unobstructed view of the Great Aletsch Glacier. They can be reached from Riederalp all year round by cable car and are therefore ideal for a family outing. Explore the geology circular trail on the Moosfluh or hike through the
fairytale Aletsch Forest back to Riederalp. In summer, you can explore the glacier with a mountain guide and well secured – an unforgettable experience.
Summer and winter sports in the Aletsch Arena
The Riederalp is located in the west of the Aletsch Arena and is a popular ski-in ski-out destination. The Moosfluh gondola lift and the Hohfluh chairlift take you to the extensive ski area up to 2300 metres. In summer, hikes or bike tours through
UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch are the order of the day. Hiking tip: From Riederalp to Belalp over the Aletsch suspension bridge with a view of the spectacular
Massa Gorge.
