Discover Mürren

This picturesque mountain village sits above the Lauterbrunnen Valley, opposite the summit skyline of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau: Let’s make an ideal start to a day in the Swiss Alps. On a tour of the village, it is worth stopping for a photo and then taking the cog railway to Mürren’s local mountain, the Allmendhubel, the starting point for panoramic hikes or snowshoe tours. Back in the village, you can enjoy a few laps on the ice rink in winter. Mürren is one of the most traditional winter sports destinations in Switzerland.

Mürrenbach Falls

The Mürrenbach Falls are the highest waterfall in Switzerland with a drop of 471 metres. The water plunges into the depths over five cascades. Numerous hiking trails lead from Mürren to the natural spectacle. It is close enough to touch from the cable car. A walk behind the smaller Sprutz waterfall is a refreshing experience in summer.
