Personico is a municipality in the district of Leventina in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland .

Personico is first mentioned in 1227 as Prexonego. During the Middle Ages, it belonged to the Vicinanza of Giornico . The village church of SS. Nazario e Celso was first mentioned in 1256. It belonged to the parish of Biasca until 1570, when it became an independent parish church. The church was restored in 1926 and again in 1978–79.
