Riffian (German pronunciation: [ˈrɪfɪan]; Italian: Rifiano [riˈfjaːno]) is a comune (municipality) and a village in South Tyrol in northern Italy, located about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Bolzano .

As of 30 November 2010, it had a population of 1,306 and an area of 35.8 square kilometres (13.8 sq mi).

Riffian borders the following municipalities: Kuens , Moos in Passeier , St. Leonhard in Passeier, St. Martin in Passeier, Schenna , and Tirol.

The municipality contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Magdfeld and Vernuer (Vernurio).
