Born in Vienna, Austria, I graduated in genetics and went to Switzerland for my PhD studies in neurobiology. That’s where I got fascinated in the aesthetics of natural structures. When I met my wife, a goldsmith and jewel setter, I decided to start a business with her, and exchanged neuroscience for entrepreneurship and independence.

We needed to solve a problem

When searching for our own wedding rings, we found ourselves disappointed by the lack of personality in most mass-produced bands - rings meant to symbolize a lifelong bond, yet designed without a trace of individuality. Refusing to settle for the industry standard, we set out to redefine what a wedding ring could be: a piece that carries the personal signature of a couple, captured in a pattern that is visually striking, meaningful, and gently mysterious.

The quest for the solution

Rather than using fingerprints - a symbol often linked to crime scenes and therefore not quite fitting as a testament to love - our goal was something equally unique, but richer in significance and beauty. With my background in neuroscience, the retina inspired us. Hidden deep within the eye and totally unique to each individual (no two, not even identical twins, are alike), the retina’s intricate, wave-like lines resemble the roots of trees, radiating life and connection. It is this vivid pattern that we chose to weave into our rings, creating not just jewelry, but a legacy and a celebration of a love that is truly one-of-a-kind.

Materials & quality
We work in 18k gold (yellow/rose/white), platinum, palladium, and on request tantalum/zirconium. Diamonds from responsible sources, flawless finishes, and perfect fit are a given. Every piece is made in Basel—made in Switzerland.
