The official gazette is the official publication organ of municipalities. Thus, it plays an important role as a link between the political administration and the population. As a reader, you are always informed about current events, requests, and other notifications from the municipalities - free of charge. On the other hand, your advertisement in the official gazette reaches all businesses and households in the municipality. The only exception is vacation or second-home owners. According to the Municipal Law of the Canton of Bern, in Article 49g paragraph 1, they must subscribe to receive the gazette.
