Die lebensfrohe Hannah möchte die langjährige Beziehung zu ihrem Freund Simon retten. Sie gestaltet einen Kalender mit Unternehmungen für das kommende Jahr, um sich wieder näherzukommen. Aus Versehen lässt sie den Kalender jedoch auf einer Parkbank liegen. Dort entdeckt ihn der eigenbrötlerische Verleger Jonathan und entschliesst sich kurzerhand, die Verfasserin ausfindig zu machen. Er ist berührt von der liebevollen Gestaltung des Kalenders. Nur mühsam führt Jonathan den Verlag seines Vaters, nachdem dieser an Demenz erkrankt ist. An die damaligen grossen Erfolge kann er nicht anknüpfen, und auf seinem Schreibtisch stapeln sich die Aufgaben. Auf der Suche nach der Besitzerin des Kalenders nimmt Jonathan die eingetragenen Termine wahr. Schnell findet er sich auf schrägen Konzerten, bei Chorstunden und in fremden Restaurants wieder und bemerkt, wie seine verloren geglaubte Lebensfreude langsam wiedererweckt wird. Auf wundersame Weise kreuzen sich fortan Hannahs und Jonathans Wege. Zunächst wissen sie nichts von der Verbindung durch den Kalender. Langsam finden die beiden zueinander, und es beginnt, zwischen ihnen zu knistern. Bis Hannah realisiert, dass Jonathan viel mehr wusste, als er vorgegeben hat. Als dann auch noch Simon verschwindet, der ein ganz eigenes Geheimnis mit sich herumgetragen hat, sieht sich Hannah zutiefst mit der Frage konfrontiert, was die wahre Liebe wirklich bedeutet. Sie muss sich entscheiden.

Im Fall des toten Biathleten Abel wird der bisherige Hauptverdächtige ermordet. Somit erhärtet sich der Tatverdacht gegen Abels Bruder Benoît. Bei einer Durchsuchung in Benoîts Haus entdeckt das Team um Awa ein verdächtiges Gewehr und Blutkonserven, die auf illegale Dopinggeschäfte hindeuten. Benoît muss sich erklären und lüftet ein überraschendes Geheimnis seines ermordeten Bruders. Awa (Mariama Gueye) ist mit Hotelmanager Edouard (Gauthier Battoue) im Bett gelandet. Doch die Ermittlerin hat weder Zeit noch den Kopf für eine Beziehung. Sie muss sich in erster Linie auf die komplizierten Ermittlungen im Fall des ermordeten Biathleten Abel konzentrieren. Diese nehmen eine neue, spektakuläre Wendung: Der bisherige Hauptverdächtige Jean Faure (Bruno Debrandt) wurde in einem Kühlraum eingesperrt und ist erfroren. Awas Kollege Achille macht die Schweizer Biathletin Amélie Thorens (Valentine Terra) ausfindig. Sie gibt an, wie die Französin Léna Vallée von Faure sexuell missbraucht worden zu sein. Amélie kann jedoch belegen, dass sie nichts mit der Ermordung Faures zu tun hat. Abels Bruder, der Hundeschlittenführer Benoît (Théo Costa-Marini), gerät derweil immer stärker in den Fokus der Ermittlungen. Awa ordnet eine Hausdurchsuchung bei ihm an. Dabei wird ein Kleinkalibergewehr gefunden, bei dem es sich um die Tatwaffe im Fall Abel handeln könnte. Zudem hat Benoît in einer Kühltruhe zwischen Hundefutter Blutkonserven versteckt. Es handelt sich um menschliches Blut, das zu Dopingzwecken genutzt werden sollte. Im Verhör gesteht Benoît, was es damit auf sich hat. Zudem überrascht er die Polizei mit einer Erklärung für seine vermeintliche Affäre mit Abels Freundin Manon (Marilyn Lima) und lüftet dabei ein Geheimnis seines toten Bruders. Free-TV-Premiere

Die Ermittlungen werden immer komplizierter. Auch der Wildpfleger Emmanuel und der Journalist Frédérik geraten unter Verdacht. Beide hatten ein besonderes Verhältnis zum getöteten Abel. Frédérik hat parallel zur Polizei eigene Nachforschungen angestellt. Doch es ist nicht auszuschliessen, dass er den Biathlon-Star umgebracht hat. Derweil wundert sich Awa, warum Achille es plötzlich ungewöhnlich eilig hat, den Fall abzuschliessen. Der wortkarge Emmanuel (Julien Drion) betreibt eine Auffangstation für verletzte Wildtiere, die von dem getöteten Biathleten Abel mit grosszügigen Spenden unterstützt wurde. Als Awa (Mariama Gueye) und ihr Kollege Achille (Nicolas Gob) dem Tierheim einen Besuch abstatten, entdecken sie dort zahlreiche frische Blutspuren. Vor dem Gebäude treffen sie auf den blutverschmierten Emmanuel, der ein Gewehr in der Hand hält. Er kann sich jedoch glaubhaft erklären. Emmanuel spricht mit den Polizistinnen und Polizisten zudem über seine Verbindung zu Abel. Eine neue Spur führt zu dem Journalisten Frédérik Mayor (Benoît Michel), mit dem Emmanuel unlängst eine Auseinandersetzung hatte. Frédérik hatte in der Vergangenheit einen Dokumentarfilm über Abel gedreht und ist nach eigener Auskunft angereist, um eigenständig Nachforschungen zum Mord an dem Sportstar anzustellen. Gegenüber Awa und Achille behauptet der Journalist, zum Tatzeitpunkt in Genf gewesen zu sein, um dort einen bekannten Skifahrer zu interviewen. Doch Achille findet heraus, dass das Alibi lückenhaft ist. Als dann auch noch in Frédériks Hotelzimmer die Tatwaffe gefunden wird, scheint der Fall gelöst. Aber da der Verdächtige nach wie vor alles abstreitet und kein wirklich starkes Tatmotiv besitzt, will Awa das Gewehr noch einmal selbst in Augenschein nehmen. Nach der Wende finden Bürgerrechtler tonnenweise Akten, Tonbänder, Filme, aber auch rätselhafte Gläser mit 'Geruchsproben' in den Stasiarchiven. Betroffene schildern, wie sie persönlich ins Visier der Stasi gerieten, wie sie belauscht, bespitzelt oder gar Ziel von Mordanschlägen wurden. Die ebenso harten wie unbestechlichen Urteile von Jugendrichter Dr. Kleinert versetzen Kleinkriminelle wie Verurteilte aus bürgerlichem Milieu gleichermassen in Aufruhr. Zwar ist Kleinert gewohnt, den Zorn seiner Klientel zu ertragen. Doch nun wurden aus Hassmails akute Bedrohungen: In der Wohnung des geflohenen Intensivstraftäters Marek Kurth wird die Polizei auf dessen krankhaften Hass gegen Dr. Kleinert aufmerksam. Das LKA wird informiert, Helen Dorn ermittelt. Während der Richter das hinzunehmen bereit ist, ist seine Frau Johanna aufs Höchste alarmiert. Wer weiss, ob das nächste Mal nicht auch die beiden halbwüchsigen Töchter zur Zielscheibe werden? Helen Dorn findet heraus, dass auch der Krankenpfleger Thomczyk allen Grund hat, dem Richter schaden zu wollen. Nach dem plötzlichen Krebstod seiner Frau entzog Kleinert ihm das Sorgerecht für die gemeinsame Tochter. Thomczyk hat nichts mehr zu verlieren. Er beginnt seinen persönlichen Rachefeldzug, indem er einen Brandanschlag auf das Haus des Richters verübt. Dann werden an Kurths Kleidung Spuren des gleichen Brandbeschleunigers gefunden, der auch beim Brandanschlag auf das Haus verwendet wurde. Doch Kleinert wehrt sich vehement gegen den Polizeischutz. Die Lage spitzt sich zu, als Kurth tot aufgefunden wird. Geht es wirklich nur um seinen Ruf als 'Richter Gnadenlos', oder hat Dr. Kleinert ein Geheimnis?
