Falmenta was a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont , located about 130 kilometres (81 mi) northeast of Turin and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) north of Verbania . As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 201 and an area of 16.2 square kilometres (6.3 sq mi).

On 1 January 2019 the municipalities of Cursolo-Orasso , Cavaglio-Spoccia and Falmenta merged into the municipality of Valle Cannobina .

Falmenta bordered the following municipalities: Aurano , Cannobio , Cavaglio-Spoccia, Gurro , Miazzina , Trarego Viggiona.
