Varchoè) is a municipality in the
Canton of Geneva 
, in Switzerland. It is located in the northern suburbs of Geneva.
Toponymy
The name of the commune is of uncertain origin. It could be composed of the Proto-Indo-European base *uer- ("water, river"), the infix -s-, and suffix -ogia. It is first attested from c. 1026 to 1031, in the Medieval Latin form Uersoi. Its name in Genevan patois is Varchoè.
