As a lover of schnapps, we have always wondered why Rakija - known in this country as schnapps - is not as present in bars as other spirits. A younger generation seems to have lost sight of the traditional drink of many European countries.

Unlike gin or vodka, for example, rakija is usually based on fruits - valuable and delicious things that nature gives us. The fruity scents make the alcoholic drink particularly aromatic and harmonious.

We would like to cultivate the enjoyment of rakija in a modern form without renouncing the centuries-old distillery tradition of the Balkans and its characteristic recipes.

Rakija is more, much more than just alcohol, it is culture, life and passion, and stories have always been written about and through it. Now we want to write our own story - Golden Eliksir is a rakija to our taste that meets all quality requirements. We are proud of the end product and the fact that it gives Rakija what it deserves: more spotlight at last.

Near Modrica, in the northern part of Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina), there is the Monogram distillery, where the contents of Golden Eliksir come from. The production area is situated in the fertile lowlands at the foot of the Trebava mountain. It has always been known for its excellent water quality and healthy environment, which are ideal conditions for the extraction of raw materials.

The Monogram distillery now covers more than 20 hectares of land and is richly stocked with around 35,000 pear, plum and quince trees. The individual trees are treated with state-of-the-art technology and according to biological principles, protected from frost and hail, and irrigated according to the drip system.

Golden Eliksir is produced naturally from carefully selected fruits, without the addition of sugar or unnatural ingredients, in the traditional way. "Quince" and "Plum" are also matured in specially treated oak barrels for several years, giving them a very special touch.
