MONICA & TONINO – OUR STORY

Monica – Growing up in her Italian mother’s restaurant in Allschwil, Monica discovered her passion for gastronomy at a very young age. From her mother, she inherited not only treasured recipes, but also her joyful, warm and welcoming nature. In Moni’s Bakery, magical sweet creations are born – always freshly prepared and made with love.

Tonino – Raised in southern Italy near Naples, Tonino also found his way into the kitchen early on. He trained as a chef and gained valuable experience in various cities across Italy, both in the south and the north.

His journey eventually brought him to Switzerland, to Allschwil, where he met Monica.

In 2012, we decided to bring our shared passion to life and took over the Restaurant Zur alten Post – our Pöstli.

Together, we find new inspiration every single day.
