One of Switzerland’s largest ski areas offers more than 200 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes. On the Chuenisbärgli World Cup mountain, you can even test your skills on the legendary giant slalom course. Numerous mountain huts with sun terraces provide a welcome energy boost. Or how about a fondue in an igloo on the Engstligenalp? A great choice for families: the Globi kids’ area and the thrilling sledding runs.

Outdoor Adventures in Adelboden

Adelboden is a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Over 300 kilometres of hiking trails lead to idyllic spots such as the Engstligenalp and the mighty Engstligen Falls, among the most water-rich in Switzerland. In early summer, the blooming alpine meadows and the traditional alpine ascent along the pack trail create a unique experience. Another top tip: hike through the spectacular Cholerenschlucht with its bridges and stairways.

Near Adelboden, one of Europe’s longest suspension bridges spans the Engstligen River. Passing through the village of Frutigen, you’ll reach the Kandertal, home to the turquoise Lake Oeschinen and the tranquil Blausee Nature Park. Another excursion highlight: the roaring Simmen Falls near Lenk.
