The panorama trail «Senda Val Müstair» goes from the Ofenpass to Lü. The varied hike goes past the idyllic mountain tarn Lai da Juata and gives wonderful views of the mountain peaks in the Ortler range.
«Senda Val Müstair» is the name of the magnificent panorama trail on the sunny side of the valley. It starts at the summits of the Ofenpass (2,149 m) and follows a narrow footpath leading through the woods. Later one meets a road passing over a grassy plain, the Plaun da l'Aua. After about an hour you reach the Alp da Munt. The trail continues with beautiful views into the valley and over to the impressive peaks of Piz Daint and Piz Dora and the imposing snow-covered Ortler massif. The trail leads to the Juata plain with its idyllic mountain tarn Lai da Juata. At 2,260 m, this is the highest point of the hike. Minschuns - the skiing mountain for the Münster valley - is passed on its south side. Soon the descent starts to Alp Champatsch, lying 200 metres lower. The original buildings of Alp Champatsch are now at the open-air museum at Ballenberg. The road now leads to Lü, a tiny place where rare orchids and medicinal plants bloom.
