Centovalli
Centovalli (Hundred Valleys) owes its name to the countless side valleys on both sides of the central valley. Since time immemorial it has been an important transit region between Switzerland and Italy. Its natural landscape, which is of extraordinary scenic beauty, offers nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts a myriad of recreational opportunities.
The Centovalli is a hiking paradise. It offers untouched nature, breathtaking vistas and a dense, well-groomed network of hiking trails. The many villages with primeval grottos that one encounters while traveling through the valley let one feel that ancient traditions are still alive. In each village one can make new discoveries. Verdasio, Rasa and Palagnedra are just a few of the little villages that enchant the visitor with their simple and authentic beauty.
